THIS IS A CONSTRUCITON SITE. PLEASE WEAR APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at a 1910 Ann Arbor home deep energy retrofit as part of a gut remodel after a water disaster. The remodel is by Sustainability Committee Chair Doug Selby. The home is being converted to an all-electric, net zero energy dwelling. This home features many next-generation techniques, including low-voltage lighting, energy recovery ventilation, ducted and ductless heat pumps and a state-of-the-art building envelope. The majority of this tour will focus on the home's thermal envelope and heat pumps, the two most important steps for a net-zero energy house. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged!
